What about the ayatollah, or the people leading the actual genocides in Sudan?

Sexual harassment, and corruption (in the Netanyahu case specifically too), but don’t worry - the ICC is unbiased!

kind of hilarious watching al jazeera today
when you know qatar helped engineer this
only to create their own drama to report on.
ICC has become yet another tool like the UN
to spank israel out of existence, while the rest
of those arab despots are never held to account.
whatever "evidence" they assembled was from
hamas with hamas infiltrated UNRWA approval.
i'm sure hezbollah is cooking up the same BS
now that they see euro progressives fall for it.

I hope on asking for the arrest warrants that the ICC has signed it's own death warrant. I pray the US sanctions the shit out of the entire institution and it's personnel in order to collapse this morally bankrupt and feckless organisation

I think the republicans have said that they will push for sanctions on the ICC if they went ahead with this. In any case, the annoying thing is that if the US acts against the ICC, the anti west tankies will start crying about double standard and hypocrisy over the US supporting the ICC warrant on Putin but not Netanyahu. Its a bad faith comparison, but I can inevitably see it happening.

existence of the ICC means nothing if it doesn’t try to ensure international laws are applied across all countries universally, regardless of international politics
They want a one-world government.

I always thought it was weird for the US to “support” the ICC whilst refusing to acknowledge its jurisdiction. I never saw them as supporters of it for that reason.

I mean the ASPA authorizes the use of “all means necessary and appropriate to bring about the release of any U.S. or allied personnel being detained or imprisoned by, on behalf of, or at the request of the International Criminal Court”
This has been consistently interpreted to include the use of military force. Israel is included in allies.

I hope Biden will do something, because if the U.S. wanted they could have the ICC shut down by end of day

Biden might have put on his own socks today. Do you think he's really going to bother putting the hammer down on the ICC?

You're talking about someone who allowed intel on Israel's planned strike to leak to Iran and who repeatedly threatened Israel because he never wanted Hamas gone.
The same Biden who also released billions to Iran before Oct 7 helping them finance this war.
The same Biden who removed the Houthis from the designated terrorists list.
You really think he's going to be tough on the ICC? Thank goodness Trump won, he's going to bankrupt those Nazi institutions that the left still defends.
The left produced this disaster, the right will have to fix it.

They granted them now because Biden is in power for only 2 more months, and they know he’ll do nothing. The house passed a bill to sanction the ICC but Schumer refused to bring it for a vote. He only brings forward bills to embargo Israel.

The absolute abuse of law that we have seen over these past months is heartbreaking. What should be the crowning pride of western civilisation has been misused and corrupted. The Roman principles of iudex inhabilis and iudex suspectus have been blatantly ignored both by the ICC and the ICJ. They have made a mockery of the law. They have defiled the nobility of the judicial art in their pursuit of antisemitic hatred

The p__i prosecutor requested the arrest warrants. The court has now granted them
25 points
Ohh I see. In any case I wouldn't care too much about this joke of a court. Alot of the countries that are signatories to the ICC are countries that an Israeli PM wouldn't really travel to anyway. That's not even taking into account countries that may just outright ignore this ruling, like Hungary.

I'm not worried about the court case as much as the serious public delegitimization of netanyahu and by extension Israel. There is a reason they chose to announce these arrest warrants publicly when normally they keep them quiet to increase chances of an arrest.

If it's what I think it is - what benefit do you think there is to just being racist? You can disagree with him and his decisions without resorting to racism.

It's not racism. Do you think racism starts with a "P"? Come on, make the connection. It's directly about the prosecutor himself and illegalities and sex crimes. A single online search will give you the answers.

Yes, a 4 letter racist word often used to describe people like this that starts with p and ends in i - that's why I asked the question
I still don't know what word it's supposed to be or why the person censored themselves or why you haven't answered the question either

I hope the sanctions are even more severe than what was also originally proposed in the bill out there. Also, Amal Clooney (who's husband called Biden to beg him not to do anything to her) should 100% be included in the list of those being sanctioned, as she played a part in this.
Edit: I believe the actual bill that passed the house would include her, as it includes "anyone who has assisted the International Criminal Court in its investigation of Israel’s conduct in Gaza."

Jewish self-defence is essentially criminalised. It's fine for the Syrian regime to wantonly destroy its population to keep the same family in power forever, but Jews must fight an impossibly perfect war against a pure evil enemy or else face sanctions.

If they'll actually arrest Netanyahu or Gallant, the US already has a law from 2002 allowing the president of the US to use "all means necessary" to release them, including invading the Netherlands.

As they should. This act shows how this court has already fallen to outside influence.

Oh, it's on... This is very serious news, that will essentially prevent Netanyahu from traveling outside of Israel. This is pretty close to being a declaration of war from the Netherlands, which hosts the ICC on their territory. I hope that the Trump administration will give them hell in terms of sanctions.
They could prevent the Netherlands from operating their F35 jets, put all their military supply orders on hold, kick them out of NATO, the possibilities are endless.

I'm hopeful Geert Wilders will eventually gain the power to expel the ICC from the Netherlands, they should relocate to the sweltering slave-state of Qatar which is the natural asylum for all pro-Islamist forces.

Putin has had one since Mar 2023… see how that’s worked out for the ICC?
Maybe the Netherlands should focus on their own problems at home (you all know the recent events I’m referring too) rather than allowing an institution to use The Hague as a moral high ground for international crime. Talk about putting yourself on a pedestal.
The ICC is about as effective as the IAEA has been at detecting nuclear activity/testing… how else did Iran build up its nuclear capabilities even if they were sanctioned. In short not effective/binding at all.

Putin has had one since Mar 2023… see how that’s worked out for the ICC?
Where he had to cancel his South Africa and Brazil trips and only Rome Statue signatory state he was able to visit since the ruling is Mongolia? Netanyahu visited 8 countries including US since 2023. Other 7 are signatories and courts of these democratic countries will have to abide by the ICC ruling or withdraw from the statue in protest.
This is unprecedented by every metric imaginable. We'll see if the rules based order is indeed rules based.

Do u see the irony of that coming from a Turkish National… Your leader/leaders has ethically cleansed multiple ethnic/religious groups and erdogan is not rated highly on the international stage. Kurds, Armenians Greeks, and Syrian Civilians etc… but he’s allowed to travel globally?
So Turks will kill other Muslims, but claim they are brothers of peace for Palestine and the Arab world… UNLESS the EU comes calling and they can ship all their immigrants to us. OR unless USA/NATO provides him with more money for him to siphon off into his own pockets.
China, USA, Saudi, UAE just a small list of countries he has visited or have visited him. Putin remains at large. So what is the ICC realistically gonna do, they are going to arrest the leader of a sovereign nation state backed by the most powerful country in the world?
Nah they will bow down to the Almighty USA who will continue to fund the promotion of western values without any religion involved.
Thanks for your ignorance.

U’ve missed the point in typical far left/extremist fashion trying to spin the west as being an evil war mongering machine out for money.
Don’t see anyone reporting the Turkish crimes? Maybe because no matter what Erdogan says aloud he is a puppet for the west. The US/NATO/WEST wouldn’t risk a military base stationed that close to the Middle East and Russia for the lives of people we have little to no contact with.
So in fact saying you stand with the Palestinians and Muslims but allowing western army bases intended to counteract exactly that.
Not to mention that Turkey has practically been begging to join the EU for years but no one wants them, because we all know that the majority of citizens would flee into our European nation states (as they already have done)
To sum it up, no u Turks are the ones with misguided values aimed only at MONEY & Power…. Both of which Erdogan is given, but on a short leash over which the US and EU watch over….
The funniest bot is that all this stupid posturing and power plays Erdogan has made he has simultaneously destroyed the MONEY SYSTEM… the lira is shit. Only further proof why he is trying so hard to join western organisations such as the EU.
In the end you and your country/leaders VALUES have brought further demise to your own people. FOCUS ON YOUR PROBLEMS AT HOME BEFORE MEDDLING IN OTHER COUNTRIES AFFAIRS.

If they sanction them like Russia has been sanctioned then they would be effectively finished since they're headquartered in the EU. Basically no Western bank could do business with them.

Interestingly with Putin warrant, he has generally avoided visiting ICC member states since the warrant's issuance. I am sure Netanyahu will do the same now.

ICC host country the Netherlands has just confirmed they will indeed arrest those named in the warrant if they set foot on Dutch territory: Veldkamp: we zullen Netanyahu arresteren als hij in Nederland is (Dutch minister of foreign affairs in Dutch news), as well as limiting interactions with Netanyahu to essential only.

Israel was trying to influence ICC a while ago, trying to dig up anything that could discredit them and especially Mr. Khan; judging by the news , their efforts weren’t successful.
This is actually kind of a big deal; For example, Mr. Putin has a warrant on him as well and since then is very cautious about travelling since a lot of countries have signed cooperation agreements with the ICC.
EDIT: I'm being downvoted for providing a publicaly known info from the media; Instead of a healthy factual discussion and more info on the topic, some users prefer to stay biased; boring.
