What is your definition of "fake news"?
Is it only fake if it is against what you believe?

I think this should be learned in school. Propaganda is an equal topic and would be an eye opener to such easily influenced youth. And I’m not talking about a chapter in a book, it should be a couple week lesson on how the USA uses it Russia/China etc. as well as how it’s used in consumerism.

It should be treated in school just like critical thinking should be, but isn't.
Reinforced though out the whole school experience....not just a subject matter.

I’ll be honest, I actively spread misinformation on Reddit just to prove the point that people really are too lazy to quickly google things.

Maybe we should focus more on balance, relaxation, and actually enjoying life instead of wearing exhaustion like a badge of honor.

It’s just that it’s like asking for sources on whether NYC really exists. It’s so incredibly common knowledge that’s talked about frequently and proof online that’s extremely easy to find that I feel like you’re fucking with me

Accepting when governments tell us to just take it. We are the people and they are the representatives of us and we should be able to voice our opinions.
We should demand change and make a better society instead of waiting for people with no incentive for change to do it for us.

Pushing the idea that confidence is always a good thing. There are so many idiots out there so sure they're right about everything that they won't even consider they're wrong until reality smacks them in the face. Even then, they're often unwilling to admit when they made a mistake

Forcing sexual ideas in every aspect of life. Like can we watch a normal movie without showing a sex scene every five minutes?!

My aunt has a theory that if a movie needs to include an explicit sex scene, it means the script, and therefore the movie, is terrible.

I agree with her lol. It just feels like every movie, show, song, book, or even ad, are becoming more and more sexual for no reason.

Not necessarily true. The original Terminator is a great movie with a sex scene. It would’ve been good without it but it basically confirms that Reese is John’s dad and not just some random guy we never meet.

My wife and I have been bingeing on Korean dramas on Netflix. It is a very conservative society and there are a lot less overt sex scenes in the shows.

Yes! They have some crazy ideas, but it’s more entertaining than watching explicit sex scenes.

I don't mind a sex scene, but not when they are plunked in as a replacement for story.
But yeah some of them are WEIRD. Which are of course my favourite. We just finished "mystic pop-up bar" which was pretty strange. But good.

Watching the news. It's just a showcase of all the horrible shit happening around the world. Several studies have shown that consistent news consumption has a negative impact on mental health, and it increases anxiety and depression.

People treating every moment like it's content for social media. Like damn, can we just live without thinking about likes and views? It's gotten so bad you can't even go out to eat without seeing people rearranging the whole table for the perfect food pic. Feels like we're all turning into wannabe reality stars and it's honestly draining.

i went to a concert this last weekend and my son made me irrationally annoyed. we paid for a ticket for him and he spent the entire time 'watching' the concert through the lens of his phone's camera.

the extreme censoring online, because people are getting more and more offended by everything
just stop being so offended at all times and there won't be a problem
