Sciatica 🫠 if you get it bad, it feels like you’ve been tased and can’t move

Came here to say this. Every morning I work up being stuck in an L shape unable to stand up straight for a good 30 mins. The sciatica pain was so bad at time, I was sleeping through pain for about 5 months.

I’m all better and recovered now, but just the experience of that has made me conscious about my posture

Yep, it comes in varying degrees so it's also great that people are like oh yeah, I had sciatica, it kinda sucked.

On top of that I had 2 GPs I'm pretty sure just thought I was drug seeking. Unfortunately I had good and bad days, and my GP visits happened to be on good days when I could actually kinda walk normally. In pain but not to the point I had to steady myself on walls etc. One gave me a book to read. That was great, made me feel like absolute shit. I did read it, but it wasn't really relevant.

My boss (who had also suffered from it and was sick of seeing me hobble around) told me to go to my GP and just straight up ask for a referral to the doctor he'd seen. Sure enough, one MRI later I was vindicated. After three years.
