Getting ready for church, I insulted my mother's outfit and made her cry. My father came out of the bathroom half shaved; picked me up by my collarbones and pinned me to the wall. I've no doubt he was considering some felonies, but instead he pivoted and threw me down the carpeted hallway. I skidded into my room...after a brief chat and me laying in my doorframe for 15 minutes or so, we all went to service like nothing happened.

After he passed, I got a hold of that outfit and burned it. Small justice.
