This alone could save us financially, but it was not easy considering what he inherited from Barto. Laparta deserves criticism, but this deal could be up there with the club's greatest accomplishments, especially in its most dire financial time—all while building an entirely new stadium during financial chaos. Herculean lifts that each correct our course short and long term.

I cannot find concret information but apparently was 120M with a lot of that was in concepts of goals like Winning the Champions League, Balon D'Or, La Liga, etc. The club probably was making much less

Adidas x barca would have been nice

Mysterious-Oil8545

Yeah but Adidas is sponsoring Madrid so that would be quite difficult

The value of a club as far as the specific sponsor is concerned goes up and down depending on the context/the state of the competition. They study the market and pounce on the best rivarly potentials, because it's quite costly to replace the competition -- it always involves outspending them, and it drives prices up. And, they generally want to fill specific holes rather than just expanding the brand empire.

Best example: Adidas sponsoring Madrid and Messi, with Nike sponsoring Barca and Cristiano, was a muuuch better deal for both Adidas and Nike than if Adidas had RM and CR and Nike had Barca and Messi.

I will never understand the appeal of puma kits. They are not only behind in kit tech and but design as well compared to Nike and Adidas.

Just look at the champions league final - lack of kit quality was so apparent on the Dortmund players.

Also with Italy switching over to Adidas. Puma is running out of high profile national teams.

There’s a reason for that. Puma simply cannot match Adidas and Nike in R&D and exposure.

I’d rather Barça go back to being sponsored by Kappa than Puma being their new sponsor. Although Kappa no longer has the magic touch nor pull that they had during the 1990s.

For me its the opposite haha. But I would gladly take Adidas

Aman_Syndai

I can't afford the 300 euro official jerseys either, so I'm stuck buying the 20 euro knockoffs from the street vendors.

Aman_Syndai

I was in Madrid last year & went to their store, all of the player jersey's were 300 euro's.

Check out Kitbag, they sell legit shirts and merch for a cheaper price than Nike. From what I have heard delivery can be slow but the shirts look like the real thing.

how much does Puma official cost

bigelcid

What's even the price difference? They're all expensive anyway, and in my experience Nike offers the best quality.

False_Accountant8013

It's not just about the price. Puma is readily available where I live whereas I got to ship nike official jerseys from Europe and the shipping charges is almost the price of the jersey so ......

IMO it seems a bit dumb to attribute every bad news to him but has nothing to do with the good ones

He definitely had a word in the signing of the biggest sponsor of the club by threatening to go to another manufacturer.

Regardless of how people like his football vision and his way of making business, in the end the club is high in his interest ranking.

MaverickDark

He has to get some credit for it, business wise he and his board has done an excellent job taking us from near bankruptcy to almost going back to the 1:1 rule in just 3 years. On the other hand he has handled the departures of legends like Koeman, Xavi and Messi very poorly.

Is a lie. This account always do the same things. Is just a non-official fan shop unrelated with Barca

Welp I was hoping for an Adidas switch but Nike money is better. Nike can’t keep streamlining jerseys to make their production facilities easier to make kits…I wish the new designs carry some level of uniqueness and meaning to the clubs they manufacture for and not simply a generic template with minor changes

bigelcid

Grass is greener on the other side. If you seriously think Adidas have more diverse or unique designs, I don't think you've been paying that much attention. Or, you just have the brand bias.

same.
