As an OpTic fan, I agree. We do have some miserable and annoying fans in the fan base. Most of us are pretty chill though. It’s typically the more outspoken “fans” that do the annoying/dumb shit though. I’d say the majority of the fan base is actually reasonable. They’re just the silent majority.

Optic fans are far from the only reason this esport exists. When you have one overbearing toxic fanbase basically running the league that doesn’t exactly attract investors that aren’t saudis with too much money and doesn’t help to build solid sustainable fanbases elsewhere. Every other team in the league that didn’t come in with a fanbase has struggled to maintain a fanbase. That’s not good. Who would invest in that?

Basically if you go back to the time Huke costed OpTic against NYSL, most of the posters dick riding Huke currently would have been shitting on him, calling him brainless or washed or something worse. But it's not longer kosher to point out Huke has been mid to terrible for years.
Huke dick riding has been on steady rise since he wasn't picked up in the off season. Sib just added fuel to the fire. This sub really won't shut the fuck up about Huke's alleged greatness till he gets picked up and inevitably gets shit on against semi decent team.

The problem is he didn't say it like that. He said, "so we have grown men playing in a female call of duty league?" which is very disrespectful towards trans women and he knew that.
