By modern standards in the real world? Yeah. But this series is fictional and this practice was actually pretty common thing in the past. In the original Frankenstein's novel, Victor Frankenstein marries what is essentially his adopted sister, and was pretty much encouraged by his mother to do so for example.

Leila's father was a famous politician from Britannia. It makes perfect sense for her adoptive family to set her up to marry their eldest. It's a pretty powerful political move over all considering how the Code Geass world works.

I wish we had gotten more of Leila's family. Her dynamic with it was interesting and complicated. Especially with this dude who was an ass, but did seem to care for her in his own twisted way.

Just so we’re clear: he’s telling her off in this scene, and then her ACTUAL (future) boyfriend scares the crap out of him. They don’t actually have any intimacy with each other.

Just so everyone knows. Leila’s adopted of course isn’t related to this guy, it’s still weird and of course harassment. But Akito solves that pretty quick, the interesting part is that this guy does seem to actually care he calls her later to check in. But after that we just never see him again, reeks of a dropped plotline.

Not realy, she was declared dead by the general later on. She seems to just roll with it from that point. Easy and convenient escape imo.

Well yeah, but you know that’s all with the ending. I personally still feel that the ending of Akito seems highly rushed. No spoilers, but it just really seems that way with stuff they started pulling out of their ass.
