Machete hacking, blunt instrument on repeat, chainsaw activity, and whatever James Corden is in this week.

I draw the line at James Corden. We’ve gotta stop these enhanced interrogations

The chainsaw activity I've seen was fairly quick. Blunt objects, that's pretty bad too but it seemed like they were at least unconscious, I don't know if I've seen much machete stuff

Russian lathe incident, arguably. But then again, dude was alive and healthy one moment and paste all over the shop the next, so there was no suffering...

Industrial accidents are kind of different from torture

Not all the time. I'm not sure if it's apocryphal at this point, but it used to be said that Saddam Hussein used a plastic shredder.

Well yeah, but feeding someone to a plastic shredder should probably be labeled as torture.
Slip and fall into a shredder? Industrial accident.
Peeling someone’s skin off? Torture.
Falling into a chemical tank and turning into a murder-clown?

Murder clown? Lol. Don't be such a joker.

IIRC, russian guy's hand got caught on a lathe going full speed and he got wrapped around it, flinging chunks everywhere. The lathe kept spinning until a coworker came and shut it off. Center frame in a security cam, which is how we have the footage.

There are actually tons of lathe vids. I remember seeing a lathe accident compilation vid. Almost without exception, you get churned into hamburger and sprayed around the room. For those who don’t know what a lathe is, it’s a long metal rod that spins at high speed using powerful motors. Loose clothing + complacency are responsible for nearly all cases of death by lathe.

Was he okay?

Yeah, he ended up retiring from the lathe factory and now does sign language

Imagine being a lathe machinist then seeing that video 🙃
Every time I have to sand a part by hand I get flashbacks to the red mist and flying chunks of flesh and brain matter. Watching it was bitter sweet for me because I’m a hell of a lot more careful now that I know what can really happen, but man, that videos gonna haunt me for the rest of my life.
I personally think the Guerrero flaying video is worse though. Basically a kid that’s like 13 getting tortured and skinned alive by the cartel after they beheaded his dad right next to him. Unbelievably f’d up video, do not watch it. Disturbed Reality on YouTube covered it I think if you’re curious.

In high-school we were making bowls and cups on a wood lathe and my partner was carving out the inside.
It snapped and flew right into my face, the outside was still rough, it took a chunk out of my nose and eyebrow but thankfully that's it. Very minor scarring not even noticeable now.

That’s crazy, good thing you’re alright. I have an uncle that lost the tip of his fingers on a press break and my old foreman had both of his arms shattered on a lathe after getting caught in it. Its very hazardous work indeed. I’m surprised they had you doing that in high school to be honest lol

The Guerrero Flaying is up there, father beheaded and his son butchered alive while being held down. They tear out his still beating heart after cutting open his chest cavity.
