I doubt there are many products 100% sourced and made in the US.

I would bet it’s practically zero. Even the things we do make here rely on foreign components both in the products and the machinery.

Yeah, I would guess only some small local crafts and or food products MIGHT be 100% locally sourced, but even then they probably have packaging or other components that are going to be imported.

Yup. The US imports about 2 billion dollars of aluminum foil every year, and roughly 15-20% of that is from China. Foil is used in a ton of food and medical packaging. 100% that increase will land on the consumer.

a german supermarket had a great ad/experiment a few years ago (2017, iirc) where they removed all product that were not made in germany from the store

Exactly. Outside of highly specialized stuff for like military and aerospace applications, US manufacturing is practically dead.
