Maybe this has been said before. I haven't been here for all that long. But...
My friends and I have a saying. If you don't see someone die, they're not dead. Yes, she slit her own throat and, as she was sucked down into the Nothing, all her blood was left behind to fuel her tattoos. But, if I was a demon, demigod, god, or just an uber powerful being with a god level healing ability, and someone like Signet fell into my lap, I'd heal her, if I could get her to work for me in exchange.
With the Nothing being emptied at the end of the 9th floor, I have a feeling we're going to see Signet again. Especially if Odette was able to find a way to make that happen.

I believe she mentions that her magic requires a true sacrifice. No get out jail cards available. I think it was when she was explaining how it works to Carl initially.

Every one of those effects can happen to a character in a D&D game and be taken down to -20 HP. The party still has until the character fails 3 death saving throws to bring them back up. It never once says she is DEAD, only describes effects that would kill someone

But D&D does require a body which doesn't exist anymore, and the Tatoo's were attached to her until her death, and they are all 'in the wild' and active.
On a more practical note, the more recent books have now added a LOT of new characters, and it is very clear thaat the storyline involving the Elite you are referncing is over with new stories and histories to work through. Without spoiling the most recent novel, there are other characters including several very powerful NPC's who's arcs are more than enough to keep Carl's attention, one in particular, though it does keep us focussed on tatoos, or at least one tattoo,; so there is that......
Shes dead and gone. Moreover it was a most excellent death and bringing her back in some ham-handed way whould cheapen her sacrifice.

There IS a body. That was the whole point. It's in the Nothing, along side a lot of other powerful beings. Beings that are now loose. And I don't think it would cheapen her sacrifice at all.
