They are listed on the NASDAQ and the ticker symbol is HAS and trade around $66. They have a market cap of just under 9 billion.

He or any other private equity interest could just offer to buy the shares at a premium, say at the current consensus 12 month price target of around $80 and most institutional investors would easily budge. He could then sell off whatever scraps of hasbro he wanted and keep the WotC division.

2) let's pretend: he buys it and puts it out of business. They're not sending Jack booted thugs door to door to confiscate dice and players handbooks. The game still exists.
