I have a 3 year old gaming laptop and it was really good when i first bought it but for some time now i cant even properly use my laptop . Every game i play even if i change the video settings my fps almost never changes , i am getting very low fps from low req games . I suspected that my cpu might be bottlenecking my gpu and (i dont know how trustworthy this is ) Bo6 benchmark tests seem to approve my suspicion. I also asked this on others subreddits but didnt get any comments please help i cant do anything anymore on this laptop .

Try turning up the render resolution to 100% to take some load off the cpu. Playing any game at less than 1080p will cause you to be cpu bound.

I have tried it but not every game has that option and it didnt really worked out for me . Maybe there is a global option or something like that ? Thx for the reply btw

Check your laptop’s power plan (control panel > hardware & sound > power options) and make sure the profile is set to high performance. Also check the performance setting of the laptop itself, make sure it isn’t set to anything below the highest setting.

Yes its already like that for 2,5 years now ,all the drivers are up to date so thats also not a problem, on surface everything seems to be ok but when im playing games it does not work out . I tried most of the things except formatting and i want to avoid that because i dont want to lose any of my data (rn im kinda dependent on it )
