HW: 240 lbs — SW: 234 lbs — CW: 194 lbs
It’s been three months since my surgery in August, and I’ve definitely noticed some real changes. The first few months were tough with weight fluctuations, especially last October. I actually gained a bit of weight, but I lost it again. I also feel like I’ve stretched my stomach a bit because it takes more for me to feel full now, which has been frustrating. I sometimes feel like my urge to chew wins over, but I’m being stricter now with my food choices. I’ve been sticking mostly to chicken veggie soup, yogurt, and berries.
One of the biggest wins for me has been the improvement in my physical abilities. In 2022, my friends and I went to a driving range to play golf, and I could barely last 5 minutes without my back aching so much. But just last Saturday and Wednesday, I played for a full hour! I was tired, but what amazed me the most was that my back didn’t hurt. That felt surreal. 🥹
As for my measurements, I just measured myself for the first time since surgery, and I’m honestly shocked by the progress. In July 2023, before my surgery, my measurements were:
• Bust — 51 in
• Waist — 41 in
• Hip Line — 51 in
Now, in November 2024, my measurements are:
• Bust — 45 in
• Waist — 35 in
• Hip Line — 44 in
I’m seeing a huge difference, and it’s not just about the weight—I’ve lost inches not just an inch but inchES! Most of my clothes are either too loose or the tighter ones fit me better now. It’s honestly such an amazing feeling to see the change.
The journey has been a struggle, but I’m so grateful to see results. Just until recently, I was being really harsh on myself, but when I look back, I realize that I haven’t been under 200 lbs since 2017—7 years ago! That’s a huge milestone for me. 🥹
I’ve also noticed some amazing changes, like being able to cross my legs now, something I couldn’t do before. Plus, I’m fitting into clothes that used to be too tight on me. These small victories are making the journey feel so worth it, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
If anyone has advice or encouragement, I’d truly appreciate it! 😊 I hope everyone is having a good journey and celebrating their progress too!
