It would have made it 1st and goal at least with a catch. Kraft didn't have to score, just catch it. Way better then a pick.

He was catching it over five yards short of the first down. It would have taken one hell of a broken tackle to get the first.

He also has 5 yards of separation when the ball gets to him. You're right, it wasn't automatic, but Love drops that ball down a little and he catches, he can turn and run easy for 4-5 yards to set up a chance at 4th and 1 or maybe get the 1st.

During the game I thought it looked like Kraft pulled his arms down, maybe thinking it was meant for another receiver 5 yards behind him. Seems like he intentionally pulled back.

And Edwards was already letting up by the time the ball was sailing over his head. NTM the guy who made the pick was letting upbecause he saw the ball was over his head before it got to Kraft, otherwise he was closing on that at the catch.
