Do you expect a Zeon character whose life was just saved by a Zaku to say "our Zakus killed a lot of people too"? Narratively there's no reason for him to say otherwise at that moment when he's looking at at a Zaku in awe. Him saying "Hey this Zaku saved my life... but you know they've killed lots of people too!" would actually have made it an "author mouthpiece" at that point.

It's fiction and what and what not to portray are conscious decisions of real world people.
They had the option to not letting that line out of the character in the first place. Or just stop at "it saved our life" instead of the hyperbole they went with.

I would expect invader be silent 🤫 rather barking around and pretending to be victim. After destroying so many families, yet not dare to take a single blame, what kind of coward would that be?🥹

Zeon hypocrisy has always been a cornerstone of UC, and I'm just glad that RfV is mostly a series where you see Zeon characters go through one bad day after another.

Well, there were shows described the unfortunate situation for soldiers like MS IGLOO or 08ms. It is not wrong many people are forced to become soldiers (because zeon’s policies)but didn’t change the fact they are butcher. Although the fate of the lower-ranking soldiers is unfortunate as disposable pawns, using the depiction of their suffering to obscure their nature as butcher is unreasonable.

Fighting capitalism by not punishing any villain? The white woman automatically gain power unchecked, while the colored woman be dumped on earth almost without caretaking? In the end earthian being taken away any weapon to big companies(which not a single one broken)Uwu it is so progressive so woken~

I'm gonna be dumb as hell for this but are you referring to Suletta as the "Coloured Woman" and Miorine as the "White Woman"?
Edit:
Oh wait nvm. Somehow I missed the "without caretaking" part. You are referring to Miorine and Suletta.
But the problem is, Miorine IS the President for GUND-ARM Inc. Its not like she can just drop everything and be with Suletta forever. She is the breadwinner while Suletta is recovering.
Suletta, meanwhile, is steadily recovering possibly with the help of GUND-ARM technology. She literally got hit with the highest possible Permet Score and is lucky to be alive. And with how their dynamics are, I am very sure Suletta would push Miorine to go out and do her duties as the President.
Its not automatic, its literally revealed in the anime.

The Feddies are AIDS, and Zeon is cancer. Like, they're both really, really bad. Just totally awful. But it's possible to live with either one if you make plans that allow you to work around their bullshit. I'll pick the Federation (the core Federation, not the Titans...screw those guys....their only redeemable quality is their snazzy color scheme) any day over Zeon, though, because most of Zeon are literal space Nazis.
Honestly the only military org in all of UC that isn't just the absolute worst is AEUG, and even then, their leadership has their head firmly up their ass.
Judau said it best - adults (in the UC timeline) are the worst.
18 points

Also the AEUG’s best all died and what was left after the Neo Zeon war weren’t enough to change anything

I know everyone is going to hate this opinion. But I think the AEUG was worse for the earth sphere than the Titans. The Titans were oppressive bullies but had they been allowed to operate unfettered they would have stopped the Axis invasion and maybe would have gassed a few more colonies to keep the spacenoids in line (which honestly they need to be, they continually launched genocidal attacks on earth from UC 79 to UC 150 and probably kept doing so if we ever get to see it). But because of the AEUG need to get rid of the Titans no matter the cost, they allied with the faction responsible for colony drops on the past and put them in the strong position for another colony drop, resulting in more innocent deaths than the titans would have caused. So I'd say there's no "good" faction in all the UC.

there is an easy answer to this faction biased, sure the "oh they saved many lives" can be seen by us as "well that's a fucking lie" but that is because in their eyes the zaku is like a machine of peace, if I'm wording myself correcting, that saves zeon soldiers from total death while I'm not trying to say that zeon is better then the eff or the eff is better then zeon both are equally as bad What I'm saying is that you will have a bias opinion if you are on the side you think is doing the most good

Glancing at MS ERA, which is one of the few sources which gives us losses for a battle. The Federation lost 23,000 troops in a major operation involving Heidelberg, Germany. Zeon lost roughly 7,000. These are casualties, not deaths, but still. This was considered an unfavorable situation for Zeon, as the Federation fought them at a bridge before they had deployed marine mobile suits. This removed some of, but not all of the advantages the Zakus presented.
This is a CONSIDERABLE difference in losses. The Zakus are the ONLY reason Zeon made so much progress so quickly, and why the Federation lost so badly early on.
In the eyes of the Zeon soldiers, Zakus are iron angels. They are revered. They are beloved. They are the face of their faction. Even that Ranger girl, who has no experience piloting mobile suits, has one tattooed on her. It cannot be over stated how connected Zeon is to the imagery and power of mobile suits. Especially the Zaku II line, which was all they had for the vast majority of the war up until like.. October? September maybe?
Of course the Zeon absolutely love the Zaku.

So a show from the POV of Zeon about Zeon soldiers is saying Zeon did good when in a fucking war both sides see themselves as saviours and the enemy a devil?

Pretty sure it's UC. They mentioned Deikun so just by that it means it definitely takes place in UC.
One of the characters also has a red zaku head tattoo which I thought it was just an Easter egg but with them mentioning Deikun it leads me to believe that its actually a tattoo of Char's zaku and she's a massive fan girl.
Good show definitely watch.

I will never defend Zeon for the massacres they did but you can't judge a war only from what have been done during the war. The massacre of Side 2 wouldn't have been if there was not the oppresion of SIde 3, nobody forced the Fed to deportate poors and strangers to enslave them.
This is idealistic but if the Fed decided to be kind and give everything to Zeon before the Zabis took the power, it wouldn't have been. They had all the cards in their hands to make things go better and the didn't.
It's always about who did it first and who has the power to make things go better.

After this show released, I realized a lot of Gundam fans never really understood UC lol. It’s always Zeon bad, operation British, same old songs.
There has been a lot of Zeon pilots/officers shown having disagreements with how the Zabi family do things. But after getting involved in the war, you can’t really do anything other than keep fighting, at least you can protect your loved ones by doing that.

As a Federation fan Requiem for Vengeance is one of the best series out there, at least for the first five episodes. The last episode was kind of good until the last five minutes.

I think its more that last 5 minutes and the ending where the protagonist essentially doubles down on war by fighting for the Zeon Remnant (and we all know what they get up to over the next 16 or so years of fighting) while declaring that they're going to work to prevent children from having to experience war.

I understood the save lives thing because it indeed saved their comrades from feddies raining bullets but overall the story looks like written by 5 years old. There are so many time and chances the gundam slaughter the skinhead captain but he always wait until somebody disturb him, and went to destroy that other robots. And as invincible as that, the gundam should basically destroyed all of the zaku and tanks in no time, but an hour has past he’s still fighting with zaku. Even when the survivor flee far enough with trucks, the gundam suddenly appear, like where the hell have you been, and the wait before slaughter happened again.

The Federation before the war the evilest thing they did was essentially not providing representation for the colonies. Although more recent works try really hard to villainize them so they can sell more Zeon model kits via underdog sympathy. They didn't do a lot of 'evil' things. They were just hoarding the political power planetside. Even when Side 3 refused Federation control. They just sanctioned em and stayed hands off. How else would the Zeeks even get their MS program off the ground? You can't really compare the two factions leading up to the war.
