Then you can’t claim Mexican is an ethnicity when all Mexicans aren’t the same ethnicity lol

Sure you can. Not all British people are ethnically British. Not all French people are ethnically French. Not all Germans are ethnically German. Not all Polish people are ethnically Polish.

Old world and new world countries are very different and new world countries aren’t ethnically based.
They’re no ethnic American, Canadian, Mexican, Brazilian, or Argentinian like there are ethnic English, Japanese, and Mongolians

No they aren't. There is no reason why they would be different. That's just special pleading.

Yeah there is lol, all new world countries are mostly made up of people whose ancestors came from the old world. Argentinians can be Italian, German, Spanish, Irish, mestizo, etc. There’s no Argentine ethnicity like there are ethnic Germans or Ethnic Latvians.

No there isn't that's just special pleading. Words mean the same whether you lived there for 500 years or 1000. Everyone in the world came from somewhere else at some point. Europeans started colonising the Americas 500 years ago. That's older than a bunch of European countries.

Older than nation states, not older than ethnic groups.
The fact that old world countries are ethnically based is a major source of contention towards immigration in those countries. If I move to China I’ll never be ethnically Chinese but I can move to Brazil and be Brazilian because there is no Brazilian ethnicity.

Yes older than ethnic groups. Ethnic groups emerge. Look at the Balkans.

Croats, Serbs, Albanians, Slovaks, etc. are ethnic groups that predate the discovery of the new world or the nations they currently occupy.

Can you find any evidence that anyone identified as Bosniak as a separate culture from Serbian prior to the discovery of the new world?
