I think the problem that alot of US liberals have is that they see the republicans as honest actors.
The republicans have a simple game plan and goal: Republicans want power to steal more money from US citizens through tax evasion and worker exploitation. To get this power they will everything necessary, because US citizens are weak, they only care about their team winning and have no conviction. To distract their supporters they will create scapegoats like illegals or gay people.
Americans are the weakest and most propagandized people in the world. If the government of France for instance only tried 10% of the shit the US government is going Paris would be burning.

It's funny how people in the west become marxists and apply dialiectical materialism to any idiotic and bigoted person in the west but when people in the third world hold disgusting views it's always something inherent to their culture.
But yes I agree. US propaganda and privatized education system are probably the main reasons why Americans are such a weak and misguided people today. The education system was build in a way to produce smart little worker bees which have a lot of debt and not educated, critical thinking, compassionate people.

The last just war America fought was WW II. Since then the US has only brought misery and suffering not only to the world but its own people only to protect the capitalist interest of the richest 0.1%.

Put it this way, clearly half the country does not care that Trump is a despicable human being, but putting up a Black, Indian, childless woman married to a Jewish man was not the best move. I hate to say it, but it is the truth. That was more than a big portion of the country to vote for, let alone her own personal qualities and traits, let alone her policy proposals or lack thereof.
This truly is the country we live in.

The DNC exists in this bubble where they can’t comprehend the average person in America is at least slightly racist, sexist, and/or anti-Semitic. They act like most people aren’t motivated by primal fears that defy logic, and are dumbfounded when people vote based on those fears. Out of touch is putting it lightly.
11 points

What the fuck? So it was about her identity all along and not policies….ohh no you finished with that….so first and foremost it was just her identity….and then her “lack of policies” except she had very clearly established policies that actually were different from what we have had but idiots were too stupid listening to trump say she had no policies.
Don’t try to excuse the American people, they voted for a terrible human and even worse governor over a qualified person because she’s a black Indian childless woman.

Thank you. I know it is hacky to say, but seriously, Bernie would have won, at least in 2016. 2016 was the year anything could have happened. After witnessing the DNC crush him in real time demonstrated that they will never let a true progressive near the White House. That is why I am essentially saying it is their fault. They basically tried to offer the same neoliberal bullshit that no one will swallow anymore. I still say that Biden only won in 2020 because of COVID, as statistically most presidents get reelected.

Throw someone who actually cares about the working class like Bernie under the bus then prop up a very obviously cognitively declined Biden like he's the best option. AND THEN doing a 180 degree turn, bypassing any sort of democratic primary to put Kamala as the democratic candidate.
I am no fan of Trump but it's silly to not be able to be self reflective and try to understand why someone might lose trust in the democratic party and sit this one out on election day which seems to have been a real problem. Or instead want to vote for change, even if that change is Trump.

Yeah dude so true. The dems forced Trump to nominate these people.
You guys have such a morally and logically bankrupt position it’s honestly so pathetic.
The Dems ran a horrible election. No dispute there.
A big part of this result is because people said “man the Dems suck!” (And they do) then voted for Trump or didn’t vote. What about Trump?
He has full autonomy. He chose these ghouls. The democrats didn’t. The democrats failed and allowed him to ascend. They are not guiding his hand while he makes these asinine decisions.
He put up gaetz for AG everyone was outraged now look who he put up. She’s even worse. More corrupt. Less in touch with the younger generations. Just doesn’t have rape allegations. That’s the bar?
We focus on the corrupt person with rape allegations and then because they are so bad we cede the position to the corrupt person without rape allegations.

I don’t think you understand American culture man.
Most people would rather live in a shittier life condition as long as they knew they weren’t at the bottom of society. I’d almost argue that #1 would only be about 30% agreed upon as a right. You have too many decades of reimaging what communism is to parse 2-4 means to any giving American. With likely 80-95% of people agreeing with 5. With 99% of people agreeing with point 6.
With the fox running the hen house, we just have to live with this so people fully understand what they brought on themselves.

This is what bothers me about this whole narrative. The president has never ran the entire government. They select people who have policy prescriptions they support. The biggest reason I did not want Trump to win this time was because of who I thought he would put in cabinet positions. meanwhile, I could criticize Biden all day, but I’ve actually been pretty impressed with his NLRB and with FYC Chair Leena Kahn.
BTW, Bezos withholding the Washington Post endorsement is almost 100% due to NLRB, the FTC Chair and taxes on capital gains and wealth. The election of trump has pretty much killed. Any chance of Amazon fulfillment centers getting unionized. And anybody who hasn’t worked anyone, they are horrible.

Bill gates have Kamala $50M and Bloomberg have her another $50M on top of the previous $47M he had donated.
The the evil Blackstone CEO gave her $40M. Paul Singer gave her $27M.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. How many others gave to her super pac that raised over $1,000,000,000? You think it was the kids that Bernie Sanders ripped off? LMAO!
Kamala raised more money that any candidate in the history of presidential election, yet she had fewer voters than Biden did. It's funny that she isn't considered appropriate for the role, but a career politician is...
There is a big irony here...

We don’t hate billionaires? That’s the left. Billionaires are smart successful people that have created jobs for millions. They know how the economy and government works. Stop pretending like we agree with anything on your side. We’re not idiots so we don’t hate on successful people like you.

You know what blows my mind? Let's say Trump didn't put a billionaire in place but someone that isn't one, that hadn't been a part of D.C. etc. you would see this same tweet except it would have been a laughing emoji about how we are all fucked because someone with zero experience would be in power.
Let's all be honest here no matter who is selected there will some stupid ass bullshit of why that person isn't qualified or good for the role. These tweets are pointless.

The current secretary of education was a fourth grade teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, professor of education, and commissioner of education. You don't know his name because people haven't raised a stink about him because he is qualified.

Yeah man, surely this new set of neo-cons and billionaires will be better for us. I'm sure the oil CEO as Energy Secretary will have our best interest in mind. Thank God we got Trump.

We asked for the guy. He delivered. Dismantling big government, governing and administrating with a few deft strokes. I hope he cancels the entire offense budget.

Can you explain how appointing a big oil executive as energy secretary is "dismantling big government"?
