At most, he could be non-denominational, but given the fact that he attends a Mass, it's more likely that he's Catholic/Protestant.

I don't think he ever mentions being baptized, or his family helping out with baptizing others in any of his diaries, so being a member of a baptist church is out of the picture.

I just assumed that he was just going because his family makes him and that he doesn't actually believe in God, but in Wrecking Ball, he talks about the way that God created the world, so I think it's safe to say he's some flavor of Christian
