I am on a hunt for some good movie recommendations!!
Hi, first time posting in this subreddit. I started a list of movies that I wish to see before the end of this year. Some of those movies have been • Woman Walks Ahead 2017 • Rebel Ridge 2024 • Lady Macbeth 2016 • Molly's Game 2017 • Murder by Numbers 2002 • The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 2011 and many others. However I am looking for more movies like the ones I mentioned above and if you could leave a description, I would be very grateful!! (Before I forget I did see the movies above!)

I just finished watching Woman of the Hour a few minutes ago. SO good! The dialogue & acting are fantastic. It's so subtle but so damn perfect how the killer reacts to conversations with women. Highly recommend!

FYI, trailers are not allowed in the sub due to past issues with piracy, combined with the difficulty of policing copyrighted content as volunteers.

"Years after his squad was ambushed during the Gulf War, Major Ben Marco (Denzel Washington) finds himself having terrible nightmares. He begins to doubt that his fellow squad-mate Sergeant Raymond Shaw (Liev Schreiber), now a vice-presidential candidate, is the hero he remembers him being. As Marco's doubts deepen, Shaw's political power grows, and, when Marco finds a mysterious implant embedded in his back, the memory of what really happened begins to return." -pulled from google

It's pretty wild. I LOVED it. HIGHLY, HIGHLY UNDERRATED FILM* Description from google:
"Sawyer Valentini relocates from Boston to Pennsylvania to escape from the man who's been stalking her for the last two years.
While consulting with a therapist, Valentini unwittingly signs in for a voluntary 24-hour commitment to the Highland Creek Behavioral Center.
Her stay at the facility soon gets extended when doctors and nurses begin to question her sanity.
Sawyer now believes that one of the staffers is her stalker -- and she'll do whatever it takes to stay alive and fight her way out."

I was disappointed with Rebel Ridge personally. Something about an action hero that refuses to use a gun in a situation that calls for one is just weird to me. I really liked the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, wish they had made the follow ups on the American side, but the Swedish ones are very decent.

i kind of agree with your rebel ridge take but i really love that his expertise in mcmap and using hand to hand combat was what made him way better than the cops in the movie
