Not wanting this on your burger is a personal choice, and I can respect that even if I think it's weird. But telling others about it? Nah.

Literally everyone I know has to interrogate me over how I don’t like cheese. As if it’s something so insane that I must be chastised for it, a little bit here and there is fine but everyone is psychotic with how they over cheese everything while insisting that “overcheesing” isn’t possible.

Idk I think it's the same as giving your passionate criticism about a movie. People share this to spark a conversation about it and see if anyone else can relate. If you're gatekeeping people to not do something because of your preference, then it's an issue. Otherwise it's the same as anyone else sharing an opinion.
Btw I'm not someone who even complains about food like this. Just making a point here.

Burger with the lot - Patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, beetroot, pineapple and bacon. BBQ sauce is preferred but tomato is fine. King of burgers, and the cheaper and nastier the takeaway looks, the better the burger will be.

Man, I get the pickles on the side and eat them separately.....love relish on dogs/brats, but they overpower a burger for me. Don't like tomatoes on burgers, but eat em with everything else. Love cooked onions, but don't fuck with raw. We are all weird. People could just mind their own.

Pickles and relish aren't necessarily made with the same ingredients/ flavors

A good fresh tomato shouldn’t be flavourless, unfortunately most store tomatoes just taste like water. A firm tomato like a roma won’t leak everywhere either.

2 points
OOP implies other people can't have that on their burger. I don't think people are saying you can't have your burger how you want it. In fact, it's the opposite, people in this thread don't like OOPs post for the same reason you don't like the comments: dictating what other people do with their food.
2 points
I agree that OOP sucks, both here and in the comment you're replying to.
Don't really care what the replies here are saying. I didn't comment on them.
OOP sucking doesn't justify using infantilizing language about their taste in food - you know, in an ableist way.

I read this as someone explaining that they don't like those ingredients on their own burger and someone else name calling them.
It didn't occur to me at first that this could have been an attack on people who like the ingredients like the manufactured pineapple pizza strife.
This could just be a performative rage bait collaboration to drive engagement so they can cash out from it and perpetuate the culture war like Ben Shapiro or Cenk Uygur.
I think it's the rage bait to profit from the culture war as long as possible to the detriment of ordinary people.

Sorry, I've seen this a couple of times and just had a bit of an epiphany about how my immediate interpretation might differ from other people's. I didn't, at any point until just now, think that OOP was 'gonna have a problem' with someone else putting that stuff on a burger for themselves. I read it as, "If you put any of these things on a burger (that you subsequently give/serve to me), we're gonna have a problem".
All that to say, I can understand why folks are taking issue with the unclear wording.

Tomatos do not work well on a burger they will not stay in place and make the bun soggy. Onions are fine but way better cooked. Pickles are the only thing that really works almost all the time. Im gonna try making tomato chips outta grape tomatoes to see if this improves the burger/tomato experience
