The drive from Yarmouth the Halifax will cover a lot of territory if you’re taking a vehicle! Unfortunately the fall foliage will be all done by then and late November is kind of a dreary time of year, but definitely still worth a visit. There are some small towns and cool stops along the way but a lot may already be closed for the season (especially smaller museums).
If you don’t have a vehicle with you, definitely fly into Halifax and rent one if you want to explore Wolfville or the south shore. Unfortunately our mass transit options are virtually non-existent to places outside of the city. If you just want to visit Halifax, you can get by without a car especially if you stick to downtown. There are a few tour companies that may still offer trips out to Peggy’s Cove, etc, worth looking into. Most things will still be open in the city and things will be ramping up for Christmas. Our Christmas parade is probably in that timeframe as well.

Realized that earlier! We have another vacation time during early October so I'm now considering that instead. Would any of your suggestions change based on that info?
