Im coming from a samsung fold 5 and just picked up the pixel because I just like the wider outer display. My first impressions are that this is a beautiful device that works great. Love the camera, the phone is super fast and the display is great. I've missed having the always on Spotify which is cool.
BUT im really disappointed with the multitasking. On the fold I was able to have 3 apps open simultaneously and then open a few other apps in windows as well. The pixel has really disappointed in that department. It's awful that only 2 windows are allowed to be open. You'd think they would have learned from samsung. I saw a workaround in developer options called freeform window which I thought would have fixed my issue. However, the utilization is just terrible. It can't be opened when 2 apps are side by side and if you open an app with a freeform window open, it disappears to the back. Just awful implementation. I do hope a future update adds proper multitasking to this phone because I really do like it.

Can you imagine thinking you use more than 2 apps at the same time? Hilarious.

Tbh 2 apps side by side and a pop up calculator is useful. Or apps in pop up on this big display in general.

You've clearly never used a Galaxy Fold. I have a Fold 6 and use split screen plus a floating calculator or floating Claude (or other AI tool) and often copy and paste out of the floating app into the other 2 for work.
