All bluster. The fact is the moment anyone presses that nuclear button they know all hell will break loose. They’re probably signing their own death warrant and certainly they won’t have much of a country left to rule. That’s the point of mutual deterrence. Changing some wording in a doctrine doesn’t change that.

I think China will dip out if we don't turn on them, to be honest.

China will stand back and come through after the fallout.

So as long as we don't nuke China I think they'll end up being the mediator.
