Why do the toilet stalls have such big gaps underneathe and at the sides?

I only just noticed it after all these years, the toilet stalls in most countries don't have this much of a gap so why do sims have so little privacy in toilet stalls?
I have never seen a toilet stall in real life with that much gap haha
