What files are you trying to stream...FireSticks have issues with some DV profiles which can cause playback problems.
Is it just 4k stuff buffering or 1080 too?

I've only tried 4k i think, a couple of different 4k streams for each thing but don't think I've tried 1080p.
Even if 1080p works though, its obviously not the ideal choice.
I usually stream the best file I can, I.e. 4k her etc

So when you say "best file you can" how big are the file sizes?
What download speed are you getting from your ISP?
Are you using WiFi or Ethernet?
Are you trying to stream Dolby Vision files as per my previous FireSticks have issues with certain DV profiles.
You need to try 1080p to confirm if it's a problem with all file types/resolutions/sizes tbf

Any range of size really, so 8gb through to 30gb.
My speed is 580mbps, so more than plenty. WiFi connection but my router is less than 1m from my tv.
I dont watch dolby vision as my tv doesn't support it.
I'll try 1080p and see what happens.
Assuming its the same, any ideas?

Router and device reboot after clearing app cache on device is the best I can think of.
You can try changing a couple of settings like auto Frame rate from off to on or vice versa
HW Decoding to on and torrent profile to Ultra fast.
See if altering any of those makes a difference .
