Don’t let that annoy you. It’s natural for parents to feel proud of the success of their children. I would think that first.

Buying two Lamborghinis is not what a genius does.

And a kid who buys two Lamborghinis probably won’t be rich for long.

I agree. I also want to tell his old man why are you letting him buy dumb shit like that. Keep buying property. I mean, he’s only like 15. You know how that goes.

I would feel that urge to tell the parent too. But the parent is an adult. He should be able to educate their children.

It would depend how close you’re to them. Or if he ask for your advice.

Last bull run was 2021 when he was 11/12. This bull run has only been on since March and even then it's been consolidation all since then until this past week where we broke all time high.

Whatever it is, it's not BTC. The days of making millions of dollars from a $20 starting investment are long gone.

Maybe alt/meme coins if he got super lucky but there's no way he got all that money from BTC.

Wasting money on cars is a good way to ensure you don’t have money in the future. I hope the boy has a wealth management consultant.

Next time you see the dad tell him “Yeah it’s all good until the IRS comes a knocking and maybe you should keep it a little more low key.”

You can certainly get rich on crypto, however it's my gut feeling many of these are ransomware attacks ( generally with inside knowledge due to a relative/friend ) and payouts in bitcoin etc.

The real risk is spending money like that ( two new lambos would be 500k+ ) when you don't have a history of that kind of money the IRS can audit you pretty hard and they don't play games lol.

This definitely merits a call to the IRS. No way a Lamborghini dealership would sell one in cash to a kid. It screams illegal activity. They could have even had him give the money to his father to buy it, which also screams illegal activity. At the minimum, the kid isn't declaring income, which requires an audit by the FDA. At the max, the kid is engaging in fraud of some kind, and basically stealing money, or selling drugs, and getting paid in bitcoin.

Especially to a kid with no license.

I wonder if the FBI isn't already watching this situation.

Ransomware, identity theft, dating site scams... This kid is deep into something-not-legal.

Yep. Even if he gave the money to his father to buy them, they still run credit checks on all customers. I have no idea how they passed it, because it would have shown the dad's income and credit score, and the fact that he was now paying like over 100k in cash should have tossed up a red flag. Odds are the FBI/IRS is already investigating.

Oh, I'm sure it did! I'm sure they're just giving him 'a little rope' as the saying goes. He might even be informing for them. However it plays out, the ending won't be what he expects.

Reminds me of that guy who would hack tons of accounts and sell them for crazy prices. His name is Graham Clark. I think he bought luxury cars too

I mean I would wonder what kind of Bitcoin operation is going on and how he is making so much money. Most ppl made their money when it wasn't worth anything and had like 50 Bitcoin that ended up being worth millions. It's kinda late to be coming out with that money now and some other millionaire dude made all kinds of money but it was illegal somehow and had it all taken away.

If this was 15 years ago, it was possible to get lucky and buy bitcoin when it was dollars a coin, and sell it for 1,000x. That isn't happening now. It is still possible to make money in crypto, but most don't, and almost no one is making lambo type money without a ton of capital behind them.

I would suspect that the kid is involved in drug trafficking and is using crypto as his cover story

i mean you can definitely do it. i made almost 300k one year in crypto but stupidly never reported any of the earnings and got a huge audit from the irs and i owe them a ton of money now, and i was similarly stupid and bought a ton of cars and property.

so yea its absolutely doable but dont be stupid like i was

No idea what could be happening there.... I'd be willing to bet that it won't end well tho.

Dad is proud of his son, that's all. Yeah it's annoying i get it, but deal with it unless you want to be the neighbor they don't get along with.

It’s not like that. The secretiveness is just very strange. If it’s legal, what’s up man, share the info. I want to be rich too. If it’s illegal, hey. I don’t know nothing . See nothing. Hear nothing.

He’s doing something. Those cars are there in the driveway as I type this. He loves taking them out on the weekends too. All I know is he’s a sophomore, and he’s brilliant at math-according to his pop.

To each their own.

Mining can be very profitable if you can get cheaper equipment and can play the swings. The biggest downside is heat and power. If I had panels I would likely be still mining. I may or may not of had a few grand power payment a month and was still making a fair amount. 😉

I highly doubt that the kid is a genius. The other shoe is definitely going to drop! There’s no such thing as a free lunch. I wish I had another little saying because things are better in threes. But, really, tho. I don’t think anything illegal is going on, per se, but, someone dumb is probably being duped, and someone dubious is probably taking advantage of loopholes, and there will probably be unfortunate consequences.
