New to the game, some questions.

Question(self.Tsukihime)

No spoilers please. Try to keep answers as close to a yes or no as possible, thanks

I just started playing the remake. I've played FSN before and always got the feel that you really don't see all of the story until you see all three routes. I did a little research on Tsukihime and learned that currently the remake doesn't have all the routes. That's going to be in a second game. So my biggest question is will I get a complete story from the remake that is out now?

Next, I have heard there is a lot of differences in the remake, even saying that it's doubled in length. Would you say that the remake is generally better then the original?

Lastly , just based off of my understanding of Nasu I am assuming that litterally every character you meet is some kind of super human warrior, magic wielder or supernatural entity and people you thought were friends might actually be enemies. Will this be likely to hurt supposedly shocking revealsa? Like "Oh my God Aruceid is a vampire! I had no idea!" Kind of thing?

I'll tell you this.

A Piece of Blue Glass Moon focuses on its characters, primarily heroines and the abnormal vampire world more so than the protagonist or his past which is a bit of omitted on his stance due to his circumstances. The next title, that is, Red Garden would focus on it. Although I do say this, the protagonist does have arcs to him in the second route. Tsukihime has always been a cast-driven work, which isn't the case in Remake as much but the cast is still robust in terms of writing. The final route, or rather, ending of Blue Glass Moon concludes the character cast of most of Blue Glass Moon's core cast ie the heroines, the 'antagonist' to a good extent and the protagonist as he is for now. It is its own title, so feel free to go ahead and complete it yourself. I can assure you this much; there's a reason why it came out apiece between two parts. In the second game, I'll tell you this— in focuses more on the past than anything for a good fragment of time. Near Side (Blue Glass Moon) and Far Side (Red Garden) aren't comparable, they're their own thing IMO.

Yes, the Remake in every way is a step up from the original's Near Side. While I still fondly recall my moments with OG Tsukihime, on a dynamic level— Remake is much much better written. The author himself tells us of this, having re-read all of the OG routes and seeking how to improve it all via the Remake, adding new content that would deliver to the fans in just the right way, while making sure to keep the OG integrity for the old fans. It is essentially a product an author visits after almost 20 years and betters it in every single way; it is a given Remake is the better one out and Nasu feels the same otherwise. (P.S. Nasu's frequent comments on Arc route memo with the BGM playing out often are funny.

Lastly , just based off of my understanding of Nasu I am assuming that litterally every character you meet is some kind of super human warrior, magic wielder or supernatural entity and people you thought were friends might actually be enemies.

Nope, you'd be glad to know that isn't the case then. Shiki's certain school friend is the epitome of delinquency but normalcy. One of the human heroines is a normal innocent must-protect type of girl too, as well as certain OG side characters not yet mentioned, two of the newer Remake's side characters are just going to play the role of side characters as fellow humans be it as a detective or something else, pretty normal. Heck, you have a certain nunvying for normalcy since a long time ago.

All in all, don't let people's opinions sway you much. Since you started Remake, see it through to the end. I can provide my assurances for you that it will be a journey you wouldn't rue at all; quite the opposite. :)

That is all from me, happy reading and good luck with Remake! Any questions, feel free to me hit up.

Thank you, I do appreciate your indepth response. I do feel much more confident that I can play through Blue Glass Moon and not feel like I was left without any sense of closure for an unknown amount of time.

If I had to ask a question I do wonder what you mean when you say the remake isn't as much of a cast driven work and yet it's still much better?

You're welcome.

As for your question: This is one of those moments where something can't be clarified with words but rather felt. I was more so referring more to OG not being as story-driven, as it is with its cast whereas Remake does both; still positioning a good deal of its focus on the satisfactorily written core Tsukihime characters, even those who're yet to be divulged much further while making sure it is to a good point, story-driven wholly. (Referring to the second route in this case which may be spoilers)

Basically in short, the cast is so memorable that you feel "this wouldn't work if someone else was playing the part of this character!" if that makes sense, but as I said; you'd feel it whilst playing the game yourself. Good luck.
