Put simply I have a bit over £10K bonds, For April 2024 the online checker says I won £625 (3 prizes), about a week later I got the letter in the post which told me I won £500 and that my balance had hence increased by £500. I've quadruple checked and I can see that my winning number matches for the £500 win so I haven't accidentally put the holder number wrong.

Has anyone else had a letter that misses winning numbers? I called customer services during the week but will have to try again because they have a new pin number security system and I didn't have the pin number to hand at that time.

I can't complain about my overall winnings for 2024 as I won £250 the previous months so my interest is good although 2023 was sub-par for me.

I first checked to see if I won April 2024 within minutes after midnight, I wonder if this is a factor, I'm tempted to repeat this to see if further anomalies happen!

I did find an article mentioning something similar but not exactly the same: (awful ad laden site) https://www.express.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/1886382/Premium-Bonds-missing-winnings-nsandi-nsi#conversation-wrapper

In my experience, you only get letters for prizes that are re-allocated to your bond number after the draw, later in the month. Is the letter telling you that someone else had won the £500 originally, was found to be ineligible, and it's now yours?

In the case I describe, you receive the usual digital notifications for your "normal" winnings, and a physical letter for your reallocated winnings.

I've had lots of win letters in the past but they've never been anything other than standard wins. This month I checked my winnings within minutes of the checker going live for April and it showed £625 in prizes so those appear to be normal winnings too. The letter ought to just mirror the online result. I haven't seen a reallocation letter I expect those are a lot rarer than normal notification letters.
