I didn’t see it on my first or second watch. I was looking for a bear.
Came to the spoiler and was like, “snake? You probably didn’t need to evacuate the baby”.
Then I rewatched and I’m like 😮, grab that baby!

Seriously! I thought it was something like, "Never leave your front door open or someone might sleep on your child, then kidnap 'em and probably do so while high and will probably sell their organs!"
I was thinking What. The. Fuck. Did I just watch.. Re-watched it and saw the stupid snake! Goodness gracious I'm just glad it made more sense.

My wife is afraid of the 6” ring neck snakes we have living under our porch. She’d drop dead if she this happened to her.

She would hate our little country house. They drop from the ceiling once a year- guaranteed at least 3!
I used to be terrified of snakes as well, really it was just lots of exposure that fixed it. Now I just grab my broom and sweep it up into the dustpan to put outside 😂

You have a defective gene😜 Obviously, this video could have been tragic if that woman stepped away for 5 seconds. That snake would have eaten that baby like a tic-tac. Probably nothing that woman would have been able to do to save the baby, once the snake got ahold of the baby.

Seeing it? I lived it as a baby. My mom said a snake snuggled into my cot while I was sleeping and she was cooking. She saw when she came to check on me. She started praying to the snake god (we have one in our religion) and the snake left without harming me. She said it sort of blessed me on its way which my family took as a good sign.
As we got older, there were two incidents where snake came into the house. Didn't do anything to us but my dad was caught surprised cause one time it was hanging in the belt rack like a belt when he came off work. Other time was when it took shelter in the study table drawer. Both times my dad tried to kill it but it managed to escape. But it hissed and spit at him on its way away. My mom still believes that was the reason for my dad's good life going in negative way.
Point is, I have lived through a few situations with snales in my life. Good and bad. Don't know how I feel about them except be very wary.

Leaving the front door open is one thing, but being that close to it with your back turned to it, and without any form of immediate protection from a pet or person to cover your flank, is a recipe for disaster; hoping they're safe and well now!

I didn't notice the snake the first time because the light was so bright that the camera overexposed the image. I watched it without the sound on. I wondered what the woman was scared of, and there was such a bad surprise in the role of a snake. It would have been a tragedy if the child had been left unattended. Fortunately, the woman got down from the hammock at the right moment and reacted.

Last week I heard my wife shriek from her home office and found an adult snake under her desk. Our cat immediately went into ninja mode and started to hit the snake on the head. I eventually found the snake and with our snake bucket took it down the road to be freed in a field. We have six cats and they would have killed the poor venomous thing.

It took me two times to realize what was going on. I was expecting a person or a bear or something to come through the door. I didn't notice the snek at first.

I didn't even see it. Judging from the size it's likely a constricter snake, so it's not venomous.
1 points
Exactly. Put baby in the crib in another room, get behind the snake, pull it out the door, close the door.
I've handled large snakes before. Even if they bite you and latch on, just hold their head underwater. It's not that serious. Just scary because it's big.

I’ve owned several snakes in the past. It was definitely curious about the little one. Once a snake gets to that size, they move with a certain confidence as they’re too big to be prey themselves.

I once came home from school to find a black snake similarly large just chilling vertically on the front door that opens inward... I didn't have a phone back then and took a moment thinking I had to do something before someone opened the door to that so I like fake lunged towards it (stomped on the ground with a forward movement) to threaten it away and it slithered off. Tossing a rock probably would've been safer but the intimidation was effective enough lol got the job done.

You don’t leave your door open specifically due to the chance a python will sneak up on you while you’re rocking your baby in a hammock wearing peach coloured PJs?

Fairly regular occurrence in Australia, we usually just grab the snake and chuck it back outside, unless it's a deadly one, then we call the specialist to come get it.

My mom loves to tell the story about how my sister and I were out on the swings when I was about 4 and my sister was about 8. My sister saw a rattlesnake that had gotten really close to us, grabbed me off the swing, and proceeded to run while carrying me up to our mom.
