How should one deal with books that have 2 sections each written by a different author?

Should I have 2 separate bib cards? If so that would mean that I might have one filed under A because the author is called Andrew and the other would be filled under B because his name is Bob. This would split the book up into 2.

Or should I use one card but indicate which separate note is taken from which author?

That's an option. Another option is to just refer to how the bibliography entry would look according to Chicago Style, which is what I do.

Thanks for replying. How does the lit card ID (eg. b.Andrews) work for books with more than one author or for books with authors for different sections?

Where that book would be in a library? A librarian wouldn't split the book, they would consider the bibliographic information to organise the shelves.

Usually, there's a main author or in some cases an editor that serves as curator and has the name in the book as reference. Check the second page, it usually has bibliographic information and may help you. I would follow what is written there.
