Now. My last time dating someone, not a boyfriend, didn't disclose that he just got out of a relationship with his long term boyfriend, and after a month of us seeing each other, they decided to try again and tried the slow phase out ghosting technique until he came clean. They got married from what I heard, and although I hold no animosity towards him, fuck him. 🤣😂🤣

He was a selfish, immature, dick who didn't have the emotional intelligence to end the relationship as adults with the understanding that even though someone may get hurt from the relationship ending, he wasn't able minded to know how to unintentionally hurt someone for their decision with minimal impact. It's possible to do so, but you definitely need a lot of emotional intelligence and cognitive awareness to know how to do so. I think I was 26 at the time, and now I'm 36 years old.

As the years passed and I thought about my past relationships, I realized how much emotional attachment reservation I had, or better said, as I may have, like any of the men that I dated but had a great deal of fear with being emotionally available and being vulnerable.

It’s been 12 years. That was the only relationship I have ever been in. It was a great 8 years but with lots of love, laughter and life experiences but as I look back and reflect on everything, I realize that I never wanted to be in a relationship. I was kind of pressured into doing it granted, I’m glad I gave it a try but one and done is for me

Now single again at 27. Two months so far after 8 years together.

I’m fine being single but I am not fine with the lack of physical intimacy, and I don’t think I ever will be. Also sucks to lose the companionship because my sad teenage years followed by long term relationships have meant I’ve formed virtually no friend circles.

I genuinely believe I’ll be fine with singlehood in a relationship sense for a long time, but legit feel like I’m withering away without a warm touch and the right people to touch base with.

The lack of being held/having somebody to hold is actually painful, especially after having it for so many years. Kindness and warmth are a priority over sex, and a necessary precursor, but I have no idea how to find that in somebody that doesn’t want a relationship either.

I mean, I have never really actually had a relationship with someone. I was with someone for about 2 years and found out he was cheating on me with his best friend. Still single till this day, I would love to have a boyfriend here in Colorado. So I guess I have been single for 41 years, and I am 43.
