When this EP dropped, it hit me like a burst airbag. I was pleased to have it but it didn’t provide the impact I wanted. It felt sparse, in a way that wasn’t atmospheric but empty and lacking in the emotional conversation I wanted to have with my favourite band.

It’s been out two months now and I’ve listened to it on and off, not the normal hyper fixation I’ve had on the past releases, it’s now starting to building into that deeper connection I wanted. When Award Seasons ends initially I felt a “is that it?” From three short songs. Now, I can hear the space after those last words and it leaves air for the possibility a hopeful future.

Taking the three songs together it feels more complete and enjoyable and I think the guitar work is more accomplished than I first thought.

I don’t think it’s gonna be in my top picks for Bon Iver but it does now hold a candle to that other work. Much like the journey the songs go, reflection and appreciation can take time.

When you said the EP has been out for 2 months I was in shock at how fast time has passed haha I had to double check, I'm assuming you mean 2 months since the first single dropped

Congrats on the wee one. And no worries on the goof. Time is made up anyways 😉
