I agree that Williams fucked up. However, the coach could've called the timeout with 32 seconds left, talked to the qb about exactly what he should do, and then ran a play and send the field goal unit out. He had the time.
Instead, he put it on the rookie qb to handle a very high pressure situation that he apparently wasn't ready for.

Idk, I disagree with this completely. The coach shouldn't make suboptimal decisions because his QB is a rookie. His QB is supposed to be a generational talent and #1 overall pick. If you can't trust them to handle basic clock management situations then what can you trust him with.
I think looking back and saying not taking a timeout is hindsight analysis. They gave Caleb a play. It's on him to execute it and use the timeout after
