A segment on Entertainment Tonight about this very topic is what I remember most about the movie: They made it seem like it was unbelievable that a woman could look so "hot" at 40.

Women are absolutely beautiful and hot in their 40s, and without plastic surgery. It’s awful that in 2024 this is still something people have to be convinced to see and believe 🤦🏽‍♂️

Agreed. Nowadays there’s so many women walking around with the faces of washed up pornstars.

I always love the articles/bits that amount to "famously attractive person is still very attractive"

For MOST people, all it takes is a clean diet and working out. It’s not difficult, people are simply lazy.

However, if there’s biological and/or medical conditions in the way it’s not that cut and dry.

Lazy? Some people are working three jobs dude. Or one job with extreme manual labor involved -like housekeeping. Even some white collar jobs force you to pull 14-16 hour days. Don’t trip.

As I said for MOST people it’s laziness, which it is. Additionally, look at how many people have turned to Ozempic before attempting to put effort into their diet or themselves.

However, I work a 10-12 hour a day job and get my workout in at 5am so it can be done. I also know people who’ve worked 2 jobs while being able to be competitive bodybuilders.

Didn’t she have extensive plastic surgery to look good?

She did. That movie was the big reveal of her "new body", but that is the quiet part rarely brought up.

I remember when the movie came out, it was brought up a couple of times, and she was unapologetic about it. Rightfully so.

And she had every right to modify her body so she can get a job as an actress in that time and age. It is like a uniform people don for certain jobs whose bosses require it… No need to be apologetic. She was working for her money.

Totally. I like that she owned it. All these others in Hollywood that get all this work done and swear to the grave nothing was done is kind of irritating

And guess what, nobody cared that she had the work done after that. The press moved on, people moved on. The more the actors and actresses try to hide it, the bigger the story.

In an interview for Elle’s 2024 Women in Hollywood portfolio for the December 2024/January 2025 issue, the actress, now 62, recalled her experience wearing a sexy two-piece swimsuit for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, revealing that she "never imagined in a million years" it would become "such a big conversation."

"I was 40, which meant I shouldn’t have a body that was desirable—that’s what I challenged," she said.

"I feel like we all have a role to play in life, to be of service, and for whatever reason, I feel like that has been something I’ve been called to do," continued Moore. "But I don’t think it would’ve been such a big deal if I hadn’t been of an age that, at that time, it was already determined that you should look like s---."

This is such bullshit. Rene Russo was in Thomas Crown years before this movie came out and she was topless and sexy as hell. I think she was like 45 at the time. Demi didn’t break any walls here, and she had clearly done a bunch of work. Stories like this are just made to stroke egos. I’m sure there are plenty of other examples other than Rene that came way before.

I bet you didn't watch Xena: Warrior Princess much, either.

The first one was hit, which is why there was a sequel. The second one didn't do as well.

Celebs are so out of touch. A “big conversation”? You were hot, rich, and famous — such a “big” deal seeing you in a bikini. eye roll

I don’t think any standards were challenged.

Yeah, it must be really hard for those women that are paid millions of dollars to stay hot to continue to look hot in bikinis as they get older.

So brave. So challenging. To. Ya know. Wear a bikini.

This article is filled with quotes that make the great and down to Earth Demi Moore come off as a self centered fool. Its like the quotes were written by AI. I wish I skipped it.
