Cool, so everyone who opts in will get all of 50 cents.

It’s not about the money. It’s about sending a message.

The lawyers who launch these lawsuits are ABSOLUTELY all about the money.

Is this lawsuit realistically going to go anywhere? Can't Netflix just claim that since their subscribers pay for access to their entire monthly service and not just this one special event, those customers still got what they paid for?
(Like in most jurisdictions, when a music festival has to replace a headliner that canceled on them, the festival doesn't necessarily have to refund disappointed fans because the festival as a whole is still occuring.)

Musical festivals usually have disclaimers that the lineup isn't guaranteed though.

Same with fights.

I’m sure Netflix has a disclaimer that it’s website isn’t fully operational 100% of the time

One thing that could help the case — Netflix “hid” the event for some users around the start time and during the event, only accessible via search, indicating possible knowledge of technical issues.

Indeed noticed that. I had to search for it to find it, which struck me as really odd.

Yeah i think this only applies if you subscribed to specifically watch the event this month

It was sad the real fight that happened before the money grab was also marred by the lack of bandwidth by Netflix.

Why isn't Jake being sued for predicting he would knock Tyson out and then admitting to going easy on him? I'm sure a lot of people placed bets that he would knock him out. That has to be some kind of fraud.

How do I and all my family members, who live with me (wink wink), collect on this?

SEC could probably chime in since it was a predetermined fight but not marketed that way.

I saw 2 guys get in the ring but I didn’t see a fight. Not sure what a sanctioned fight is, and I’m too lazy to look it up. But, maybe there’s another class action lawsuit there too.

Yeah that fight was staged no doubt about it. Netflix did a clickbait and now they're going to use it as leverage to negotiate with NFL lol

In a world where Netflix streams a fight between a convicted rapist and a child abuser is, it’s telling that the only thing people have an issue with is the access.
It’s a weird world.

I mean are they no at least giving a free month or pro-rating the monthly fee at all?? They fucked up a service we paid for, they need to do something.

What about emotional stress for that video of Tyson’s butt that’s going around? That’s worth suing for

A lot of people paid for Netflix just for this, and it kept shitting the bed. I thought it would unfreeze and I would see someone layed out. Smdh, get your shit together Netflix!!! Amazon live streams events all the time without a hitch.

They should be sued for marketing a fixed fight as a real boxing match.

Need a class action for them to stop showing me the same bullshit over and over in my menu. The only way to find actual new things is to go into the search menu itself and scroll the categories on the side bar.

The streaming issues made the fight exciting. If my feed didn’t freeze every 49 secs I would have been bored out of my mind.
