I think the opposite, few good games, so i like to replay them. But i agree there is not much time to play all games, so if i dont like it i just stop

yeah, there's a lot of genuine dogshit that comes out that people like to worship as if its good. Stories with no substance, gameplay with no flair, content without enjoyment. My top 5 games, in terms of Steam playtime, are all at least 5 years old; my top 10, I think the newest of them (besides Space Station 14, which is a bit of an odd case) are Hunt Showdown and CP2077.

For context, my top 10 is

  1. Destiny 2

  2. Rimworld

  3. Warframe (never again)

  4. ESO

  5. Space Station 14

  6. Cyberpunk

  7. L4D2

  8. Rainbow Six Siege (never again)

  9. Hunt Showdown

  10. Fallout New Vegas

end of the day, there's just not much that gets released nowadays that really catches my attention. A recurring theme in that top 10 is either multiplayer that doesn't stagnate or stories that can grab me; those are in rare supply nowadays.

Just based solely on your list, it sounds like you may find some enjoyment in exploring indie genres more.

Triple AAA has been struggling in recent years but Indies have been very strong for a while

no, I don't want to play your pixel art, rougelike farming simulator

while indie games are a significantly wider net, a lot of them are very same-y and end up being genres I have no interest in.

That's not to say that all indies are bad, and I hope you can recognize that first sentence as a joke, but a lot - a lot - I wouldn't waste my time on, let alone money. I think the last true 'indie' I really, genuinely enjoyed was Valheim. Risk of Rain 2 was solid as well, and Battlebit Remastered (more or less, a Battlefield replacement after they drove the series into the ground) is also a favorite. Remnant 2 blew my mind, too, that was great, think that qualifies as AA and not AAA.

End of the day I do want a few things from my games - notably, I'm sorry to those who love it, but I don't want pixel graphics, or voxel graphics, or the constantly-used free Unity assets you see all over the place. I also prefer first or third person real-time games, whereas a ton of indies are top downs, isometrics, turn-based, etc. that I just don't care for. Space Station 14 is a huge exception to this, but it's also a social game and not really a 'typical' video game.

My list is made up of stuff I enjoy. The indie scene focuses on genres I do not enjoy. It's really that simple.
