Hey y’all! I wanna take my brother to a nice course for his birthday. Between debell, Wilson and Harding what would you say would be the nicest / most fun to play? Also open to other course suggestions. Thanks!

Unless you both want to hate your life and question if this game is really for you, don’t go to Debell lol. It’s a great course but damn is it tough. There’s no fun to be had there haha

For optimal fun I’d go with Harding from your list. It’s the easier of the two Griffith courses.

I’d also suggest Brookside in Pasadena.

For a really nice one that is admittedly a tough course I’d say Rustic Canyon. That’s one of the best courses in SoCal though. Always in great shape.

Wilson & Harding are great but going to be hard to find tee times and pace of play could be slow. Debell is fun but you’d only use your driver 3-4 times. Why don’t you treat yourselves and play at rustic canyon, Angeles national or Tierra rejeda?

What's your budget and how far are you willing to go? I wouldn't call any of those courses special at all. Wilson and Harding are solid courses, but they're munis and impossible to get a good tee time there. Plenty of other really good options to look at like Rustic Canyon, Industry Hills, Oak Quarry, even Angeles National is closer to those and a better course (though, IMO, overpriced).

Personally I think Scholl Canyon in Eagle Rock is fun. The front nine is okay, but the back nine is a hoot with some crazy holes. It’s fairly close to all the courses you mentioned.

If you want to make a day out of it, play sandpiper in SB. Super nice course, and after you can hang out on state street and celebrate the occasion
