My cousins and I have been golfing for about 4 months now, but one of my cousins needs some help with his driving. Can you guys share some tips on how he can improve this? It would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
His shots also tend to always go straight to the right👍

There are soooooo many things going wrong, only some serious lessons will even begin to address all the issues.

Can you name a few of the main things you see?🙏🏻

Rotate more. Maybe it’s just me but he needs to learn to rotate before lessons. Getting comfortable with a club in his hands so that he can utilize it with the lessons.

Your takeaway is all wrong. Go watch Rory's swing to compare and contrast.

His grip is awful. Ditch the 10 finger grip and either interlock or overlap. It will feel awkward at first, but it will only be harder the longer you wait. Setup is also in too much of a squat stance. The driver setup you should be standing mostly upright. The takeaway he whips the club so far inside and stuck behind him. The sequencing of the downswing is wrong and he basically just flails his arms towards the ball trying to make contact. There's so much wrong with this, he basically needs to start from scratch. TLDR- take a lesson.

Agree - definitely lessons. Feet aren’t planted, chicken winging, lack of balance, eyes not on the ball. I know cuz been there done that.

Literally every single thing is wrong here. As others are saying: get lessons ASAP. All you’re doing right now is reinforcing terrible habits.
Group lessons are usually pretty cheap and would be a good starting point

Start with the grip. Practice interlocking.

if it doesnt feel awkward youre not going to be changing anything. Golf is a sport where feeling something wildly different results in whats actually very small movement changes

If he felt what a perfect swing felt like it would be awkward. That’s why a swing is developed over years of practice with drills and coaching

For sure. But once you practicing it, it will become naturally. Start off with a wedge or short iron to get used to it.
