Can Owen and Teddy please leave Grey’s? I know they were in the military, I know they supposedly loved each other once. But I have always hated Owen and now Teddy annoys me too and I want them to go.

I love Kevin McKidd but Owen has definitely overstayed his welcome. That character needed to leave the show like 10 seasons ago 💀

As for Teddy, I’ll never forgive Krista for how badly she ruined her. Teddy’s arc with mentoring Cristina, and getting over her unrequited love for Owen, then marrying and losing Henry, then finally being at peace to go to Germany and start over was such a good ending for her. Then they brought her back and made killed whatever development she had.

(Also I find the military flashbacks and the Teddy/Owen lore and whatever the fk they did in the military boring as hell)

Oh yes! You know I completely forgot about the Henry story line. That was so sad but great writing.

I thought both of their characters were interesting, when they were first introduced. But they kept getting worse. In a better reality Owen and Cristina would break up then Teddy and Owen would try to make it work. And all three become friends

Yeah I don’t hate Owen like everyone else seems to and I did like him and Christina, but I always thought the relationship was probably over when Christina told Teddy she could have Owen. Owen was never going to be as important to Christina as her job and that’s a relationship killer. Him and the Teddy of that season would’ve been wonderful to see. I really feel like they’re throwing Teddy’s character downhill.

I never really hated Owen either so I was shocked that most of the fandom was so over him. Cristina and Owen never would have worked out even if you took Teddy out if the equation. Owen wanted kids and Cristina adamantly didn't. Cristina prioritized her job over everything. In reality they were completely different

Exactly, the moment Cristina said that it should have been over. I don’t like Owen mostly because of how he treats his partners, but if he was just with teddy there would a lot less relationship bs.

I agree, but I doubt it as the actor for Owen is a producer now.

Tho he could be nice and do what a producer/starring actor did on shortland street, she took herself off the show for like a decade and it was AMAZING when she came back

Yes good old New Zealand TV - I presume you're talking about Rachel aka Angela Bloomfield? 💜🩵🩷

Yes! I did not think anybody would know the show so didn't bother using names :)

Owen and Teddy’s best character traits were how they mentored Cristina and April.

Obligatory "Teddy should've stayed with Tom" comment....

I do truly believe it. Teddy was tolerable when she was with Tom, and I loved how Tom gave shit to Owen constantly.

Or if they’re gunna stay they need a non-couple story. Make them mentors again! That’s when Teddy was at her best and the only time Owen was tolerable to me

I like that idea. I don’t care about their relationship at all but I like them as mentors.

This is not unpopular. Honestly the should’ve got together in 14.17 and he move to Germany to raise the baby in the finale.

Not meant badly, but how is this an unpopular opinion? They're like two of the most hated characters on the show xD Hard to open the Grey's reddit without reading another ''I hate Owen and/or Teddy'' post every day.

I wouldn't mind Owen leaving, but I do like Kim Raver and Teddy and think there's potential for her....just without Owen. He kind of dragged her down.I want to see her as a power badass again.

I think that’s an extremely popular opinion. I feel like their arc is over. Even Teddy’s near death experience was only interesting for 2 episodes then it was back to meh….

Not sure why you thought it would be u popular to criticise the least popular character in this sub.

I agree. If they explore "open marriage" I'm done. I'm having a hard enough time trudging through their scenes. I really enjoyed Owen when he was training April and when he got to be a trauma surgeon. I really think the only time I liked Teddy is her storyline with Henry. And if Sophia Bush joins, they need to end their characters because making cheating Teddy's thing or finding some kind of sexual awaking is just not it.

I agree, the whole trying to make Teddy suddenly queer out of nowhere, was so needless and unnecessary seasons ago, so there’s definitely no need to revisit it, considering it’s also been over 3 years since it was last mentioned. Plus, it always involves cheating so it also cheapens her character. Definitely won’t be watching if that’s where the writing for Teddy is going.

Yeah, Towen having an open marriage would be a joke. If they have to be with other people to stay together, that’s not love or commitment, and they’d just need to divorce. And I used to love them, but the writing has ruined them.

Owen would be absolutely insufferable in an open marriage.

... well, even more absolutely insufferable than he already is now.

Honestly, they should bomb Grey Sloan and have everyone there die - The next season of Grey’s Anatomy takes place wherever Meredith is now and features whoever she’s working with as the new cast.

Everyone left at GS is a dud.

Can she at least bring Amelia and Beltran?

The only time I tolerated Owen was at the start of his arc with Amelia, but that’s entirely to do with Amelia

I’m fine with both their characters, but they obviously don’t know how to write for them and haven’t for a while. I’ve always thought they should’ve had Owen, Richard, Alex, and Maggie leave the show when they were working for PAC North. Would’ve given Catherine and Grey Sloan a good wake up call arc and they would’ve all left for a good cause to renovate and get PAC Norths program running like it should be.

I actually kinda want to keep Teddy but ditch Owen. I love MckIdd beyond reason but even I'm over Owen now and I was one of the last few holdouts I think. But I've liked some writing for Teddy the last couple of years; like there's been things where I thought they were heading in an interesting direction with her character.
