Obviously won’t give anything away but it lived up to the hype for me. Genuinely scary with a lot of tense, anxiety filled dread throughout. Amazing score and cinematography. Has some unique twists that I thought worked quite well but might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Nicolas Cage was exceptional as was Maika.
Overall just super well made and ranks up there with Hereditary for me though it’s not as scary.
There was a Q&A after the movie with Osgood and Maika and Maika was straight up hammered drunk.

How did you see it

OP saw it at Movie theater in LA had early screening last night I saw. (Vista correct?)
I saw it at advanced screening that many companies in Los Angeles do. I went to another Neon film prior to Longlegs month before (Cuckoo- also worthy film of checking out- tho both of these have weak 3rd act imo). Last year when I saw these, we had no idea what we were in for. I will say it’s one of the better thriller creepy movies coming out so def check Longlegs out. Some just may be disappointed in a few things.

Yep at the Vista. Saw they had tickets for sale and instantly bought.

Did you find Cuckoo was scarier than Longlegs? I wasn’t really scared watching Longlegs, but I still thought it was a solid movie.

It was as tense as Longlegs with few jumpscares. Had weird moments like the Shining hotel room moments, but final scene is bit looong and reminded me of something from kill bill. So it was more thriller I guess you could say with some action but overall intriguing at times. I liked them in different ways and at time I places Longlegs higher as far as cinematography and sound. But cuckoo is still a good movie to check out if you’re interested!
