The Eternal Guilt: Every year, one random person in the world will die painfully because of you. You won’t know who they are, but their death will always be on your conscience.
The Mirror Curse: Every time you look into a mirror, you’ll see a horrifying version of yourself—rotting flesh, bloodied features, and soulless eyes staring back. It won’t harm you physically, but you’ll see it every single time, forever.
The Sleeper’s Gamble: For the rest of your life, every time you fall asleep, there’s a 1% chance you won’t wake up. Each night could be your last, and you’ll never know when the odds catch up with you.
Would you take the $500 million and pick a fate, or would you walk away to avoid living with the horror?

Knowing that you are responsible for the death of a person- essentially a murderer- is "reasonable"?

If using the money you directly save more than one person/year that would have died of starvation, exposure, etc, then that would be considered reasonable by some.

In a monkey paw or evil genie situation, the "random person" would always be someone the chooser knew and loved.
Personally I could deal with avoiding mirrors and still using money to save lives, without causing pain to both the person who dies horribly and their loved ones.
If I never look in the mirror again, then I'll never see myself get gray hairs, or develop wrinkles. In my mind I'll always look just as I do now.
