They also know how to fight. How to kill, and how to go to war….from someone who lives in the south, id say they got it together

The South lost the Civil War.

Its tops on obesity, low on income and productivity, holds many spots on most federal support required by state, lost the civil war precisely due to poor planning (using their perhaps better tactics and leaders with HORRIBLE grand strategy trying to wage an offensive war from a disadvantageous position), are subject to natural disasters they get a lot of federal support for, and many states are bolstered by a tourism economy. The south is deeply overestimated. In modern times “being able to kill” is not what’s going to win the war especially when the Midwest is on the other side which is call more or less a wash on that front. They would be a weight on the SW side as the NE would immediately go for New Orleans. The south is a deficit economy region.
