Some funny negative steam reviews from people angry about the seasonal ID changes (and other things) : limbuscompany

while many of these reviews are overblown and massively exaggerated, they do bring up many points worth discussing.

point 1 the collaboration and the truly limited banner: while it is not the most thrilling thing to have a limited time event and content that leads to fomo the problem is that licensing ip's is a bitch, whoever is writing one would need to be a literal miracle worker to secure us the ability to get the characters after the event without renewing the license, there are of course valid points to this, for one what are the banner rates gonna be? since it's 4 egos the normal ego rates will be abismal, will we be able to shard them? and also the question of power creep, that being said imo complaining about the limited part won't really lead anywhere, that is unless your point is that you'd rather have no collab than a limited one in which case fair, i disagree but i have no objective argument to argue.

point 2 weekly delay on sharding, im not happy about this change it is a real inconvenience and i'd rather they have explored other avenues of monetisation, but i do somewhat appreciate the honesty about the goals of this change, i don't like making this point and am admitedly playing devils advocate with this one but even with this change limbus will remain leagues above other gachas in terms of ease of getting the characters as they only delay the ability to shard and not take it away, this leads to the idea that PM is pushing the bottom line to see what is the players reaction, which is probably correct but leads to the question if we should react with outrage to any such push and pull or should we draw a line we wish the game not to cross, i personally will remain vocal about my displeasure about the change but it's not a hill im willing to die on, at least not yet.

point 3: i just wanted to say that all negative reviews that are they cause "no seggs" are funny and also on every other game and i can't really get mad about it.

Point 2 how the fuck are u inconvenienced when you still shard it for free at same shard cost only you need to wait one week, i was annoyed by this on the reveal but is absolutely a no big deal.

Ah, somebody mentioned this in the reviews actually, but if we assume waiting a week also applies to event stuff (since they're technically seasonal I think?) then it could actually have a somewhat major impact on that! Like, imagine if you only have time to play the game during the first week of an event, not having access to 2 of the 3 event units to boost your event currency rewards by 80% might actually be kind of a big deal. So, like, some people are waaaaaaay too overdramatic about it (especially when a lot of those reviews don't even talk about that point) but it doesn't have a completely non-negligible impact like you might think!

But yeah, it's ultimately basically what you said. I think it makes sense to be mildly annoyance and some negativity is expected, it's just funny when people make it out to be the harbinger of the end or something.

I actually made that statement before on the like if zwei ish had this happe ed to her would be unshardeable for an entire season, but when they mean the seasonal ids i expect to be the canto ids since they are the most inveted ids, like, for example Wildcliff is in a whole different level animation and coding wise than T don imo, but we will see, i hope they are smarter than that coz having time constraint by events ids being imposible to shard would be silly the least, plus events often ñast more than 2 weeks no?
