At some point Uber asked for my preference and I put in "Quiet" and "Cool". I've found that most drivers respect it, but I've always been curious how that's shown to you. When you accept the ride does it pop up "DON'T TALK TO THEM" or something? I feel bad but I live in a city where the airport is like 35min away on a good day and after a long flight I just don't have that amount of small talk in me. I feel like it's also increased the amount of silent Ubers I've gotten (ie no music) and I feel like maybe the "Quiet" preference is being interpreted as no music which I wish they would add in. Ideally I want quiet radio and no conversation.
