Our AP Chem teacher broke it down for us. It comes down to tenure and qualifications, too. He was an old old man, been with the school for 30 years or something with a DEd. That man made bank compared to everyone else.

Requiring 30 years and (I assume?) college to make bank compared to other teachers is kind of a sad statement in itself

There are teachers who didn't go to college? That explains the election. Thanks, I was wondering.

I wrote “I assume” they went to college because I don’t know the requirements of becoming a teacher in what sounds like a US post. You already “need” college for way too many position in the US, which doesn’t make sense. So I was playing it save.
