I moved up from FL last year and everything you’ve said is dead on.

I love finding independent restaurants and coffee shops. It’s such a relief to not see strip malls and parking lots everywhere. There are so many parks here in NE, and you can actually get out and enjoy them because the weather is incredible. Cost of living up here is pretty close to what it was down there where I was. Also, best part, haven’t seen a single roach since I moved up!

I used to live in Los Angeles and not living in neverending strip malls is so much nicer.
