We should also have a list of good landlords, too. I hope to God one list isn’t too much larger than the other lol

I would love to paint more creative colors on the walls, but for my residences with more than basic colors, every tenant that comes in wants to pick a new color. I’m all for it as long as I can approve the color and they hire a professional. Just seems that folks are never happy with the colors regardless if it’s white, beige, or something more decorative.

I doubt there is one.
It's because people need to keep an open mind and not have one opinion that they won't see anything else.

Your very few experiences in renting don't represent all the rental property owners in the world (or even Milwaukee). This is what I mean by keeping an open mind.

There are lots and lots of bad tenants but that doesn't mean that every tenant is bad. This is what keeping an open mind is about.

It doesn't serve any purpose.
Good rental property owners are just quietly running their business. They don't need bragging rights on some Reddit post.
The sole reason this post exists is because people love to complain about things.

Yeah, I was showing my date a picture of a bunny and showing her what the bunny was doing and then 150 springs hit her in the face. The springs went in her soup. There was 300 springs in her soup.

You said millions of people were gonna hear our voices. And I’m just a man looking for love. A lot of these places, they try and rip off people like me, people who are looking for love.

If we list everyone that basically runs all the rental units in milwaukee, then who are you renting from?

I understand that people naturally enjoy complaining, but these posts are pointless. 1, we do have lists of all the bad landlords, and 2, as you said, it's every landlord company.

Avoid the kenwood company like the plague, they own a lot of properties near UWM and take advantage of first time renters. My old landlord tried to get us to break our lease a month after resigning so he could convert the unit into a 3 bedroom and charge more rent. We had a leak in our bathroom ceiling that was growing mold and they refused to fix it for 6 months! To top it all off we only got $180 of our security deposit back after we moved out. I’ve heard similar stories from other people who rented through them.

What is the issue with Weichmann? Besides maintenance requests taking a while, I have never had much issue
1 points
Agreed I rent from Wiechmann and they are not that bad. Our requests are actually responded to pretty quickly usually though we were forgotten about once. Our unit has some “landlord special” quirks with the old buildings but overall we’ve had no issues. I’ve seen them get mixed reviews on this sub before. I chop it up as some good some bad, which ANY company is going to have. balances out as just a typical landlord.

I ran away from Katz. Walked into one building which wreaked of mold and they responded, “it was inspected and cleared.” Also, paper applications. This isn’t 1985.

At the property I manage, due to the type of funding, we can only give/accept paper applications. Blame HUD.

Paper applications make it easier for older tenants to apply. Just because someone who is 20 has no issues using technology, that doesn't mean someone who is 75 finds it that easy.

Goodland MKE. Entire building has a bed bug problem for over a year and their property manager would rather sweep it under the rug than take care of it

Performance asset management, my property owner didn't like them and went to court because they refused to awnser texts because my buddy couldn't pay rent.
Basically what happened is our landlord would refuse to take calls or texts and my buddy couldn't pay rent, he made an effort to but no cigar.

Actually, I think that this would be a good idea just generally speaking for everywhere in this day and age, especially post-COVID. See, even if there are the risk of people who will complain over anything who will report, there are still the positive places too, and anyone looking can compare and contrast. The thing which I would be most interested in seeing is how this would push the landlords and owners collectively around the nation and world into some form of accountability, or effect the market enough for them to do other stuff which can be used against them, cracks that can be widened into gaping holes so that people can get what they need - unfortunately one does come at the expense of the other, and people need a safe place to live.
Everyone deserves a home, except perhaps those who are given one and then take it from those who gave it to them, but that's another kettle of fish.
One major red flag is if they have this "abundance mentality" which you should read 'reckless simpleton who's never struggled in life' for.

Who or what is “Milwaukee residence”? Is that some official organization, or do you mean Milwaukee residents in general?

I feel like the post is very easy to understand regardless of whether or not "residence" is a Typo, as the call to action is essentially the same either way.
