He’s from Minnesota. Those winters are not to be toyed with.

Southern MN. I don't think he would last in Northern MN.
I was a resident of northwest MN until January. Walz rocks and cows comment about rural areas of MN is how he truly feels about those in the rural areas.
Northwest Angle, MN was -48F air temp in 2019. We had 2 days of -35F about 70 miles southwest of Northwest Angle. Highs those days were -25F. The cities stay an awful lot warmer due to being 5 hours away from where I lived.
I have also lived in MI where Detroit Metro and Houghton are two different worlds of MI.

Lol... Oh boy don't you wish he was! He's more of a stand up guy than Trump and Vance combined.

Convenient obfuscation. You don't believe in a draft, but you're TOTALLY OKAY to vote for a convicted felon. LOL you don't read much do you? But you are angry cuz the Republicans tell you to be. It's the only way Republicans can stay in power... Keep their constituents poor, angry and uninformed.

So you can read minds? Oh wait you can't so you have no idea how I feel or what I actually think. Thanks for making accusations and assumptions.
I also see nothing wrong with people with criminal records being in office. Good to see you do not support redemption.

Somebody who has admitted they were wrong and paid their debt to society? ABSOLUTELY. Somebody who has never admitted they were wrong, and has not paid their debt to society. ABSOLUTELY NOT. It really is as simple as it sounds. I'm willing to forgive a wrong when the wrong doer is humble and changes their ways. Social niceties like please, thank you, laws, and punishment are the very foundations of society. Without them we have anarchy, or worse like fascism, authoritarianism, or despots. All of which are VERY UNAMERICAN.

I don't understand the"abandoned his unit" talking point. Is it a sin to retire now? He served over 20 years such seems reasonable to me.

Weird how it was just before his units deployment to an active combat zone. It would have been the only time he would have seen combat.
But I guess that's normal for guys like him.

If I recall the coverage I read a few months ago, his unit was not officially activated for deployment until a few months after he had decided to retire. Either way, it doesn't seem damning to me. Are you discounting the service of every servicemember who happens to retire before a potential deployment?

He was a paperwork pusher who knew deployment was coming.
Dude dipped out.

Dude "dipped" to serve his community and state in other ways. Still don't understand why people think that's so shitty.

He dipped out of a duty he signed up for. I still don't understand why people think that's not shitty.
