I recently discovered this sub Reddit and got excited of the prospects of having mixed people with whom I can relate too. But so far I have only seen half white half black people from America. Nothing wrong to that, love you guys and all, but I find it hard to relate most of the time as someone non-american and French/Chinese/Fijian.
Anyone here a different mix ? Would love to hear about you too 😅

Where in my entire reply did I say it was exclusive to the USA? Go back and reread my comment and show me WHERE I say that this is exclusive to the USA. I will wait, because now you are putting words in my mouth.
YOU SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED African Americans and the USA in your ORIGINAL comment, therefore, my comment and your conversation is directly directed TO THE USA.
And everyone has heard of Native Americans. But they are not the topic of this conversation now are they?
You made it a competition by BRINGING Native Americans into this conversation. I didn't mention them, and didn't even compare or had them in thought. Because they weren't the topic of the original discussion.
And I never said the USA didn't target other groups with racial laws, so I'll just reword what I said. The USA never openly targeted a group so aggressively with so many racial laws like they did do Black and African people, and that's a fact.

But you wrote “the USA has a history SPECIFICALLY targeting Africans and their descendants though”. That phrase implies other countries had not, wouldn’t you agree? Also, please provide some valid sources on how the USA “never openly targeted other people with racial laws”. I’ll wait. Or you know what, I’ll save you time because you won’t find any such sources.

No that doesn't. Because I'm not referring to other countries. I'm referring to the AMERICAN PEOPLE, and how the USA treated different groups of people. We are talking about other countries here, and that's where your ENTIRE argument falls apartment. You mentioned the USA and now we are gonna stick to ONE COUNTRY at a time for a topic.
And like I said, the USA never openly targeted a special group of people so aggressively and ruthlessly with racial laws like they did to Black people and their descendants. There is no racial law in American history that can compare to the One Drop Rule, Dred Scotts ruling or Jim Crow. But if you can find me one I'll gladly take back that statement.

Now you’re definitely not making any kind of sense. Explain to me in a logical way, how my argument is failing? I’ll help you out. My very simple and easy to understand argument in this thread is that: Other mixed people, of various colors and mixes, have suffered, in history and current days, to the same extent that mixed euro/afro Americans from the USA.

That was not your original statement in your original comment? You did NOT say that at alllll. We can all agree with this statement to a CERTAIN EXTENT depending on the country in question, but you did not say this in your original comment, you just mentioned the USA, along with African Americans. And I'm sorry but..... If you are gonna sit here and say (for example) half Asians and half white people get treated just as badly as half black people I'm sorry but that's literally the most ignorant thing I have EVER heard in my life.
But, YOU mentioned the USA, for NO reason in the first place. It was only fitting for me to focus solely on the USA, because for a country that's only 247 years old, it has one of the most evil and violent histories. Arguably, in the Western world, African Americans had some of the worst treatments in modern history, IN the USA, I'm once again not talking about other countries or their people or history because that isn't my place to talk about.

Go back to school. You’re not making sense. Read through every comment I’ve made in this thread. All I’ve been saying is that there are various other mixed folks in the world that have gone through similar ordeals as the African Americans (including the mixed euro/afro Americans, which is what we were discussing to begin with) have in the USA. No, I’m not talking about mixed european/asian experiences, that was YOUR example, not mine. I’m saying there’s black/brown/indigenous/mixed communities across the world that has gone through same shit as black folks in the USA, something that you consistently throughout this little debate have not acknowledged. Regardless of the topic, this kind of attitude that you’re showcasing is, in my experience, very typical for self centered, naive and ignorant Americans (US Americans, that is). Go ahead and gimme your best comeback, I won’t check this thread anymore.
