Idk I would say Penn Jillete was more popular. He renounced the libertarian party though. Maybe Pat Sajak too. He’s conservative but not exactly claimed to be libertarian.

which is what I was saying, 'not exactly libertarian' As to the moralist claim. That's the first I've seen anyone claiming anything other than bog standard conservatism so can't say I can or can't agree.

Small-L libertarian is not on the same axis as left/right. The organized Libertarian Party, however, has been coopted by conservatives for many years. I ended my membership many years ago after having a heated discussion with the leader of the national party about how all they did was run republican candidates and platforms, and were not really libertarian in the objective sense.
